We took the holiday off
We decided to take the holiday weekend off and enjoy the company of family and friends. We did however make it to the farmers' market over the weekend, where we found some great ideas for two new episodes! I am so inspired by the seasonal vegetables and meats, i look forward to a weekend of cooking and filming. So check back next tuesday for two new episodes and recipes!

Breakfast is not just for breakfast
When my brother, sister and I were teenagers and home alone in the summer, we would challenge each other to make "the complete breakfast." This usually consisted of toast, eggs, and sometimes sausage or bacon, nothing special. I always volunteered to cook "the complete breakfast" and I always tried to come up with new breakfast concoctions, and I even convinced my mom to get us a non-stick omelet pan and waffle maker. Breakfast, whether it is a "complete breakfast" or not, is still one of my favorite meals. I truly believe breakfast can be served at any time, and breakfast for dinner can be a lot of fun. I remember being so excited when I was a kid and my mom would cook breakfast for dinner. I still get just as excited now as I did back then, and it brings back some fond childhood memories. When my brother, sister and I were teenagers and home alone in the summer, we would challenge each other to make "the complete breakfast." We will be making Bananas Foster Pancakes in our next episode, so stay tuned for some new and exciting recipes to try with your loved ones!
What are some memories you have about cooking when you were a kid?
